Taping Tips from the Pros

  1. Start at the heel and work toward the toe with slight overlap
  2. Many pros only tape the bottom two-thirds of the blade for better feel
  3. Keep tension snug but not stretched tight to avoid tape ridges
  4. Add extra layers at the toe for extended durability
  5. Rub stick wax on tape to repel moisture and add tackiness
